Join us in celebrating Small Business Week! Small business represents more than 95% of all companies and is the city's
economic growth engine creating the vast majority of all new jobs here in San Francisco and across the nation. The SFHCC
joins several partnering business organizations including the Small Business Commission and the Small Business Administration
to acknowledge the achievements and the significant impact of this sector during San Francisco's Small Business Week, May 12-17.
May 12 - Small Business Week Kickoff with Mayor Newsom and Flavors of San Francisco at City Hall
Mayor Gavin Newsom will kick off Small Business Week with the ribbon cutting of the new Office of Small Business,
small business awards, and the introduction of Flavors of San Francisco. A great opportunity for networking with
other entrepreneurs, corporations and organizations.

Want to know some of the fundamental steps that can help make your small business a successful enterprise? Then join us

May 16 - Green Business Celebration: Keynote Presentation, Reception and Vendor Expo – Small Business Week Program
Join PG&E, the SF Department of the Environment and the SBDC at the Pacific Energy Center , 851 Howard Street ,
from 4:30 - 6:30 pm as we celebrate Green Businesses during Small Business Week with keynote speaker Hunter Lovins, co-author
of Natural Capitalism, and a vendor fair, featuring products and offerings for and from small businesses.
May 30-31, June 1 - Business Bootcamp
The expected outcome of such participation will be increased revenues, increasing
capacity while creating more jobs for the local economy, encourage small business
development, and strengthening local entrepreneurship.
Each session will have a minimum of 12 and a maximum of 30 participants to ensure
the individual attention. Each component will be one day with lecture, role play,
wrap-up for each topic and close with a discussion about what strategy will be
implemented into the company.
Each component will be facilitated by a business owner to create an interactive
program while helping micro business owners establish a relationship with small
to medium sized business owners which can later lead to business-to-business relationships in contracting.
The program will include a 30 day follow up with lunch to discuss learning's,
implementations, and results.
